I was suppose to be in Boston this past weekend with my family celebrating the 2010 Boston Marathon and cheering on my brother. For the past 8 weeks, I couldn't find flights as cheap as I did in February, so I decided to forego my $40 entrance to the 5K instead of shelling out $600 in plane tickets to get there. Looks like I made a wise choice as I was a bit sick this weekend and probably would have become a full fledged member of Team Shart had I raced. And the weather was rainy in Boston yesterday so my Mom didn't do the 5K either! Oh well, she got my cool shirt anyway.
So, today's the big day! My brother has been ferociously training for this event. He qualified at 3:14 and change, but today is looking to push himself beyond any limit he's set so far and attempt 3 hours if possible. I think he can do it! The race is underway right now and I'm tracking him and a few others online since the cool TXT they were advertising isn't working. I'm txting my sister-in-law to give her updates as the family is on the course with no clue now where he's at. Oops, am I suppose to be working today?
Go Team Shart! On pace for 3 hours right now and almost 1/2 way there!
UPDATE: HE DID IT! WAY TO GO B! 2:59:03! YOU ROCK AND TOOK DOWN PITTBROWNIE!
